Things I learned from Internet Week:

1. As fascinating as the tech sector is, as much as we talk about the fact that Mark Zuckerburg is 28 years old and make a gazillion dollars today, I could never be truly happy in a job where I had to wear a suit and came come smelling like perfume instead of sweat and meat juices.

However, if one of our new fans happens to be launching some sort of dot com that combines the glories of six figure salaries and health benefits with meat juices, then call me!

2. Apparently without sugar and coffee, the people who run the internet couldn’t function, meaning there would be no LOL Cats or pornography. So you’re welcome, internet.

Also whoopie pies are at Madison Square Eats with the RH Lobster Pound, and brownies are at all Oaxaca Tacos locations.  Sorry for not typing it today- running super late for something, and haven’t been sleeping enough. On that note, come visit me at Roller Disco tonight at DeKalb Market, where you can watch me alternately cry, pass out on the counter, and yell like a crazy guy on the subway! Good times!

Flavors: Wednesday, May 16th

Well, we had some bad news yesterday (which was up on our Facebook page- with Internet Week I’ve had no time to update this site from 82 Mercer, because I own a Blackberry and can’t do jack squat with my stupid jerk-face phone).

As you may know, we share a kitchen with several other companies, and on Monday night one of those companies accidentally destroyed nearly our entire inventory for our shop at DeKalb Market. Meaning we had absolutely no choice but to close yesterday, meaning we had to cancel “Two for Five Tuesday”.

No one was more upset about this than me- trust me.

But to make it up to all of you, we’re bucking the trend and saying to hell with alliteration! For this week only, Two for Five Dollar Wednesday Is ON!!!! Get any two regularly priced cupcakes (3.50) for only $5!

Because we love you all longs time. Smooches.

Now quick to the photo, because I’ve been waking up every morning at 5am for this Internet Week stuff and feel like I’m going to die. We’ll talk all about that and other good stuff later this week- but as of now, my face is going into the pillow.

Friday afternoon with my dad at his house in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn

Dad: So this book, when’s this happening?

Me: It’s coming out next fall, Dad. Next year.

Dad: You gotta write it?

Me: Yes dad. That’s usually how it works when you get a book deal.

Dad: You gotta write a whole freaking book? You know how to do that?

Me: Why do you think I got a deal in the first place?

Dad: I don’t know how this works! So you wrote it already?

Me: No, I wrote the proposal. Remember all that stuff I was talking about nonstop for the past six months?

Dad: Eh, I don’t pay attention to everything you’re talking about.

Me: Ok. So I wrote pretty much a really long book report on the book.

Dad: But the book doesn’t exist.

Me: It doesn’t exist YET. I’m writing it.

Dad: Heh heh heh- so you conned these people into giving you a check for a book that doesn’t exist.

Me: No, dad. You tell them what the books going to be about, why you think it will sell, how you promote and market it etc etc, then they decide whether to take the risk on it. That’s how it works. I didn’t con anyone.

Dad: So now you gotta write it.

Me: Yup! I’ve got the rest of the year to write the book. I’ve got the outline all done and a few small chapters, and I just need to fill the whole thing in.

Dad: Uh-huh. So now what happens if you don’t finish? They sue you or what?

Me: Ummm….I’m writing the book.

Dad: Yeah, I know, I know. But what if you f*** it up and don’t finish, then what?

Me: I’m not going to f*** it up.

Dad: But what if you do? You’e never written a book before.

Me: Dad, I got this.

Dad: Yeah, well, you f***ing better. You don’t want to piss these people off. You don’t want them suing you or some crap.

Me: (facepalm) Dad. I know. I have worked really hard on this. Now can you just be happy for me.

Dad: I’m happy for you! I really am! Just you better have a plan in case you f*** up and can’t write a book. And watch your ass with these people.

~FIN~

Ok, Super Bowl over. Now back to the real world, guys. Time to nag you about buying your special lady something sexy for Valentine’s Day.  Something like…..cupcakes. (or Chambord brownies- they’re sexy too!)

Yes, there is a “Sexy Cupcake” Halloween costume. Because really, why the hell wouldn’t there be. I mean, I pulled off “Sexy Pepperoni Pizza” so well and all.

For only $50, you get:

One Dozen Cupcakes or Brownies: Choose from either our classic cupcake pack (Creme Brulee, Strawberry Champagne, The Eve & The Ebinger), our nut-free pack, or 12 rich Chocolate Chambord Brownies with a raspberry jam swirl

A Handwritten Personalized Card: I will write whatever filthy, depraved message you want in my fanciest script, and won’t judge you at all for it. (Unless it’s, like, really weird.  I’ll still write it, but I won’t be able to help the silent judgement.)

Delivery: Brought straight to the home or office of your darling in Brooklyn or Manhatttan!

Tax: I’ve got nothing sexy to say about tax.

In contrast, you can get:

One dozen red roses for $39.99, plus a charge for the vase, plus a card, plus tax, plus delivery

A bear in a Forever Lazy for $69.99, plus card, plus tax, plus delivery.

A giant inflatable giraffe for $39.99, plus card, tax and delivery

A pair of Christian Louboutin Exagona Platform Sandals for $1,095, plus card, tax and delivery (you know that I’m a jeans, t-shirts and sneakers girl, and even I get tingly all over when I see these).

Order now, and you don’t have to worry about this crap again til next year! And you know what else?  Provided the Mayan don’t kill us all we’ll have cupcakes in 2013 too, so once you win their heart with them this year, you’ll never have to worry again! An investment in a Robicelli’s gift box isn’t just an investment in your relationship, it’s an investment in your sanity in the future.

If you’re looking to get on anyone’s good side today, or you’re just looking to treat yourself to something pretty, grab one of these cupcakes you see below.  You’re having a rough week- you deserve one.

IT’S FRIDAY THE 13TH!!!!  EVERYONE START FREAKING OUT ABOUT SOMETHING!!! HOW ABOUT THE MAYANS? DOES THAT SOUND GOOD TO EVERYONE?

Listen, the end of the world could happen today, or on any one of the THREE FRIDAY THE 13THS THAT ARE GOING TO HAPPEN THIS YEAR BECAUSE IT’S OBVIOUSLY THE END OF DAYS (it’s on Wikipedia so it’s legit).  I still busted my ass today making the magic happen. Booked a few weddings for this year for people who have decided to throw caution to the wind and continue living their lives.  Also planned out some really cool stuff I’m itching you tell you about, but have to wait until the final copy is edited.  And also locked up a new client that I can’t announce til Monday.

I know you guys hate Tumblrs like this where I’m all “Nyah nyah nyah, I know something you don’t know!”, but I’ve really got nothing else right now besides a bunch of tentative stuff in the pipeline and the whole end of the world thing.  Sorry. If you want straight up entertainment, go watch Pizza Boomerang. But if you just want mindless drivel, well then, you’re in the right place!

I also pretty much used up all my creativity today well in advance of this post.  I spent the bulk of the day working at my favorite cafe (and Robicelli’s client) Hom writing an article for a website that asked me to do it a little while ago (last summer).  I also finally put a tab up that links to some of my writing around the intertubes, and was thinking of listing some memorable blog posts as well.  If there’s anything you have found particularly memorable, go tell me on Facebook, as I’m always doing these things at 2am and really don’t know what’s going on here half the time.

And what was Matt doing while I was busy busting my ass in a gorgeous secret cafe drinking buckets of coffee? Well, he was making cupcakes.  So you should probably go eat one so he feels like he accomplished something, too.

I totally had a long post planned for today since I kinda phoned it in all week (I’m tired- I’m sorry!), plus the Union Square Holiday Market starts up next week, so there’s going to be LOTS more half-assing on this blog between now and the end of the holidays. Buuuutttt…..

TODAY’S 11-11-11!!!!

Maybe it’s lucky or something- I have no freaking clue.  What I DO know is that it’s a perfect excuse to post THIS!

If you feel that wasn’t enough, here’s a longer collection of Spinal Tap highlights. It’s Friday- you can probably get away with watching the whole thing without anyone noticing.

And now for the cupcakes! These cupcakes will give you armadillos in your pants!

Instead of using today’s blog to talk about ourselves or robots, we’re going to turn it over to a really important cause.  I know, I know…..you’re sick of me and my causes. I may be a jaded native New Yorker, but part of me will never stop being that dumb 15 year old girl who thinks that maybe she can save the world.  I don’t want my kids to ever lose that part of themselves one day, so I’m going my best to hold onto mine.

I know by now many of you have heard that though Hurricane Irene was nothing more than an inconvenience down here, it did an incredible amount of damage to small farms upstate.

We took a big financial hit during the hurricane, losing an entire weekend of revenue.  But for so many farms upstate, they lost everything: entire herds of dairy cows drowned, fields of crops entirely underwater, farmhouses damaged, and an entire year’s worth of labor completely destroyed.

We may not be locovores, but we’re a small business too, and when one of your neighbors is hurting and needs help you’re supposed to do what you can to help him.  That’s why we were one of the first businesses to sign up for Dine Out Irene.

On September 25th, restaurants across the NYC area will be donating a percentage of sales to help farmers upstate.  All you need to do to help out is go out and eat delicious food.  Really, how hard is that?

Most of you guys are good at going out and supporting us whenever we ask you to help us raise money for a charity or get involved in whatever ridiculous quest we’ve started to try and save the world, and we love you for that.  But not only am I hoping that you’ll come join us, but I’m hoping that other people who own business that read this will help as well.  If you’re interested, please contact Gabriella Gershenson at dineoutirene@gmail.com.

And yes, I know we’re not a restaurant.  Just because we’re not doesn’t mean we can’t help, and it doesn’t mean you can’t help either.  If you own a bakery, coffee shop, bar or whatever, Dine Out Irene would love to help you aboard.  The more of us that can make a small donation, the bigger our impact will be when we all stand together.

Onto other things we’re raising money for- remember Mikey? Well, we’ve got some pretty outstanding news. The big fundraiser is this weekend, and they had hoped to raise $20,000.  So far they’ve raised…..and you guys are going to love this…..

FIFTY-SIX THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED AND EIGHT DOLLARS!

How freaking amazing is that!!!!  And this amount doesn’t even include the money we’ve been raising through selling cupcakes at DeKalb- we’re just shy of our goal of $1000 for childhood cancer research!  Come in today for a Banana Cream Pie cupcake, and help us make our goal by this Saturday!!!

See how little things add up to big things? How freaking awesome is this?!?!?

And now- for today’s cupcakes!  All guaranteed to make you feel warm and fuzzy and good inside!

If you follow us on Facebook, you would have seen us cryptically announce that we had a huge piece of news that would have to wait for Monday. And I’m not even going to waste your time with jokes or anything, because this is without question the ABSOLUTE COOLEST FREAKING THING EVER.

You ready?

Next August, from the 19th til the 26th, Cupcakes Take the Cake will hosting….

THE FIRST EVER CUPCAKE CRUISE ON CELEBRITY CRUISE LINES!!!!

The Celebrity Summit will be leaving Port Liberty New Jersey for several fun days at sea as it makes its way to beautiful sunny Bermuda, where you’ll be able to spend three whole days doing whatever it is people do in Bermuda!

There will be a Cupcake & Cocktails event, a “Cupcake Beach Party”, decorating classes with the people who wrote “Hello, Cupcake!”, a workshop with the guys from Baked, and of course…..US!!!! As of now, we’re teaching a technique class, and will be baking cupcakes on board for several of the events.

I will talk more about this in detail another day, because right now I am just too freaking excited about all of this.  I know this will sound really stupid to a lot of you, but I’ve always been kinda jealous about people who get to travel for work. And everyone who I tell that to is like “UGH! You don’t want to travel- it sucks! It’s not a vacation, you don’t get downtime, it’s not fun at all”.

Thing is, I haven’t done much travelling.  We didn’t have a lot of money growing up, and we didn’t take vacations (my dad’s idea of a vacation was taking a week off from work to patch up the roof).  Probably the most exotic place I’ve ever been was that time I drove to Kentucky, which was the most foreign place I’ve ever experienced. Yes, I’ve been out of the country, but remember I grew up in Brooklyn where there were lots of people from Mexico and the West Indies, but not a lot of people from Kentucky.

I love seeing new places and meeting people who don’t know anything of New York. I love hotel rooms with their little bottles of shampoo, and sitting in a plane with my face pressed up against the glass, bouncing up and down like I’m five years old while it takes off. I love road trips and rest stops, listening to different radio stations and eating things I’ve never heard of but the waitress swears is good.  And I’m 31 years old and still haven’t done it, and now I have two kids so not only is it difficult to travel, but it gets really really expensive when you realize that you can’t go anywhere without paying for four people.

But next August? I’M ON A BOAT!!! I’m going to get to hang out with bakers from all over the world for seven days to share ideas, learn new things and meet new people. I’ll be on a proper trip for the first time in six years. AND I’m going to get to sleep without my kids climbing into bed and waking my ass up at 5am for SEVEN WHOLE DAYS.

This is kinda the best news I have gotten in a long long long long time. Thank you so much to all the Cupcakes Take the Cake girls for asking us to go.  We are so freaking lucky.

And the best part of all of this is that YOU can come on the boat with us! I know somewhere on your dream list is “Going on a vacation with the Robicelli’s”, and now you have the opportunity! Here’s what you need to do:

-Go “like” the Cupcake Cruise Facebook Page. Follow them on Twitter. You’ll be able to keep up with all the news and goings on as they happen.

-Check out CupcakeCruise.com, and sign up to be alerted as to when tickets go on sale!

-Follow me on Twitter for updates as well because you KNOW my ass isn’t going to shut up about this.

But enough about the future- let’s get to the present. Namely, the cupcakes that are in stores today!

We’re back in stores today!  Did you miss us this week?

DeKalb is coming along very nicely- we got a nice little write-up in Zagat this week that sort of jumped the gun on some surprises we were going to hold on to til August. But there’s no way you’ll get any more info out of us until we’re good and ready to share it!  Unless you tickle us.  But please don’t do that, because that would make our relationship really weird.  We love you guys and all, but we love you just as a friend.  So, you know, keep your hands where we can see them.

Don’t forget to come visit us tomorrow at either Northside Market (where we’ll be hanging with our friends Wooly’s Cream Ice amongst other delicious treats), or Bastille Day at Littlefield (where there will be mimes and naked chicks!).  Now your weekend plans are set.  Next Saturday we open the store, but you really don’t need to bother visiting us there since we’ll be open 7 days a week (unless you like Chicken n’ freaking Waffles!).  Where you should be next Saturday is the greatest food event that has ever been created since man first discovered fire…..

We’ll be sponsoring the VIP “Meat Elite” tent, so make sure you get one of the few remaining tickets while you still can!  Unlimited beer, meat and baked goods, people!  COME ON!!!!

Thanks to you guys, we are two-thirds of the way to our IndieGoGo goal with only 48 hours left!!! So on Monday, you’re either going to get a “WOOHOO, WE DID IT!” post, or a “Ummm….heh…..so um….how you guys doing? We’re totally cool over here, really” post.  Considering I’m pretty much as stressed as all hell over this, I’m just going to move onto another subject while I silently freak out all weekend about it.

As you saw in my previous post, my new NonaBrooklyn column is up!  Please leave comments and share with your friends- that site is a full time job for some very, very good people, and I really want to see it do well.

If you want to watch me have a nervous breakdown this weekend as I survive the IndieGoGo countdown, follow us on Twitter or Facebook!  In the meantime, enjoy these flavors- we’re going a bit oldskool today and bringing out some of our classics from the early days of Robicelli’s.  A reminder of where we’ve been before we look ahead to where we’re going.

Flavors: Monday, April 4th + NEW VIDEO!

It’s been a few weeks since we launched our IndieGoGo fundraiser, and we are already 38% closer to our goal (don’t ask how long it took me to figure that one out).  So a big THANK YOU to everyone who’s contributed so far!

I’m sure many of you checked out the project when it was first announced, and have had no reason to look at it again.  Well, may I entice you with our BRAND SPANKING NEW VIDEO!!!!  If you have ever wanted to know what I look like mid-shift after minimal sleep with no makeup on, now is your chance!

As cool as this video is, what makes it even cooler is that it’s the first in a new video series called Bklynography, the brainchild of super-fan Alison Grasso. Not only is she an incredibly awesome and generous girl, but she’s ridiculously talented behind the camera. I’m very excited to see what she’s coming out with next.

No more reading! Go watch the video- right after flavors!!!!

Well the cat is finally out of the bag……after months and months of keeping our mouths shut on a certain “super secret project”, The DeKalb Market was officially announced on Wednesday!  This has been in the works for us since last July, and for Urban Space (the curator) even longer, so we are tremendously excited to be getting so close to opening.

Since there seems to be so many misconceptions about what this is and isn’t, I will sum it up with the CAPS LOCK button on, so you know I’m not fooling around:

THIS IS OUR BRAND SPANKING NEW RETAIL LOCATION!!!!  THIS IS NOT A POP-UP, NOT A FLEA MARKET, IT IS AN ACTUAL 160 SQUARE FOOT RETAIL SHOP THAT WILL HAVE CHAIRS AND TABLES AND THE WHOLE SHEBANG.  OPEN ALL YEAR ROUND.

EXCEPT CHRISTMAS.

AND MAYBE MY BIRTHDAY, BECAUSE THAT’S ON AUGUST 1ST AND IT’S ALWAYS REALLY HOT THAT DAY SO YOU’LL ALL PROBABLY BE STAYING HOME ANYWAY.  OR WE’LL COME INTO WORK IN BIKINIS.  THAT INCLUDES MATT.

Since we’re going back into retail, expect to see a LOT more of our flavors available all the time, being delivered fresh every day of the week.  AND this means you’ll be seeing fan favorites like The Elvis, The Iona and Chicken n’Waffles several times a month, not just once in a blue moon.  Plus, it means we finally get the creative outlet to take risks again, so you’ll be seeing us go back to developing more things along the lines of The Spicy Panda (chocolate Thai chilli) and The Mikey (Coke & Pop-Rocks).  AND it means that many of the other baked goods that you old-skool fans from our first store remember will be coming back, like the brownies, whoopie pies, coffee cakes with 63 inches of crumbs on top, and more!

Visiting our new shop is reason enough for most of you to come down once it opens, but I’m sure you’re wondering what else the place will have to offer.  Well….

……there’s going to be a large performance space for outdoor concerts & conventions, that’s going to be enclosed during the winter to become a big indoor picnic spot

………there’s going to be an urban farm, with outreach programs to local schools getting kids involved in learning where our food comes from

……….there’s going to be LOTS more containers than just the one we’re in, and each will be it’s own unique retail store curated by some of NYC’s best.  Joining us in the food section will be:

  • Our friends at Joe Coffee (their first Brooklyn location!)
  • Roberta’s!!!!  (ACK!)
  • Maharlika!!!!  (Yay Filipino food!)
  • Cuzin’s Duzin!!! (I hear donuts are the new cupcake!)
  • LOTS more that I can’t announce yet, but am ridiculously excited about.  And you guys know what an incorrigible food slut I am, so it’s gonna be good.

And that’s not to mention all the cute retail boutiques: Daga Antiques, Harriets Alter Ego, Dalaga, 3rd Ward, and dozens more.  There’s going to be an independent book store, cheese shop, greenmarket….pretty much if I didn’t have a shop there, I’d quit my job so I could be there every single day.

Sure beats the hell out of just selling cupcakes out of a shipping container on Flatbush Avenue, doesn’t it? :P

(btw- It has been really hard keeping this a secret for the past 8 months. REALLY REALLY hard.)

We’ll be posting a lot more about this project over the next few weeks: raising funds for equipment, asking you guys for design ideas (we really shouldn’t be leaving the design portion to ourselves, as we’ll end up filling the place with stuff like this, or this, or this), and most importantly, having repeated nervous breakdowns which I will share with you in hilariously uncomfortable blog posts.

But enough about the future- let’s get to today and the glorious flavors that it brings!!!

I have no idea how to make this picture go right side up.  I’ve corrected it on my computer, saved it, but the when I upload it to Foodspotting it flips it upside down again.  So instead of fixing the problem, everyone tilt your heads alllllll the way to the left so you’re upside down a little, and then say to yourself: “Clockwise from front: Wild Maine Blueberry Cobbler, Cinnamon Bun, Bluth and Butterbeer”.  Now you’ve done your stretching for the morning.  You’re welcome.

NEW!!!! CINNAMON BUN:  Vanilla cake with cinnamon swirl, cream cheese buttercream, streusel top, cinnamon drizzle

THE BLUTH: Chocolate banana cake, chocolate buttercream, roasted walnuts, chocolate ganache

WILD MAINE BLUEBERRY COBBLER:  Vanilla cake splashed with blueberry sauce, vanilla buttercream, wild Maine blueberry compote, streusel topping

BUTTERBEER: Butterscotch soaked cake, butterscotch buttercream, edible gold dust

Flavors: Ash Wednesday, March 9th

Today is Ash Wednesday, meaning that Catholics all over the world are just finalizing what precious thing they’re going to give up for the next forty days.  I’m not the best Catholic in the world; I hardly go to mass, I’m not raising my children to fear the fires of hell like I was raised to, I don’t say dozens of rosaries a day like my grandmother did.  However, like a true Catholic I feel INCREDIBLY guilty about all of this, just like I feel guilty about things like ever being completely in the nude (that includes showers).

Also like a good Catholic, I am observant of the main traditions of Lent, meaning that I abstain from meat on Fridays and I give something up.  When I was a kid, I absolutely hated this sort of stuff, but I did it because I HAD to.  Like every rebellious teenager on earth I totally dropped these practices the second I could, yet in my early twenties I found myself going back not out of guilt, but because I actually wanted to. And it’s actually become one of my favorite times of year, believe it or not.

On Lenten Fridays when I go to eat and I have to remind myself that I can’t have meat, it’s not because I think God’s up there somewhere watching me, and he’s going to be really really pissed if I have a slice of pepperoni pizza (seriously- that’s what I was taught when I was a kid. I once forgot it was Friday and had a piece of pepperoni pizza, and I got screamed at for a good 20 minutes and was grounded for a week. We were some serious Italian Catholics).  Rather, in that split second where I remind myself I have to abstain, I realize how lucky I am to have the ability to turn away meat, because there are so many people who have no food at all.  It is a quick moment where I am humbled, I am thankful, and I am reminded that no matter what my or anyone’s relationship is with God/the universe/their higher power/humanity around them, there are people who need our help, whether it’s money, our time, or just a simple prayer/sending of good juju. (Those underlined words are all click-thru links guys. Give up just a little of your Facebook time today to poke around there instead- it’ll give you the warm & fuzzies, I promise.)

And that brings me to what I’m giving up for Lent.  In past years I’ve given up tangible things like chocolate, smoking, coffee…..the basic premise is that you are supposed to give up something that you really love in order for you to begin to understand the true meaning of sacrifice.  This, for me, always led to either the resentment of Lent, or the inevitable abysmal failure followed by good old fashioned Catholic guilt, and I seriously have more than enough of that stuff to go around.

This year I’m going to totally different route and going intangible: I’m giving up one of my negative traits- in my case, jealousy.  I really love what I do, and have devoted my entire professional career to learning about small business so that one day I could own one, but now at the age of 30 there are times when I get more jealous of my peers than I have in the past.  For example, most of my friends who have been at their “normal” careers for the past 8 years or so live a somewhat financially comfortable lifestyle: they have steady paychecks, get to take vacations, are buying homes etc.  I made a huge trade-off by eschewing a life of security to follow an incredibly risky dream, and I honestly don’t wish for a second to have a life where I sit at a desk every day.  But there are times where I’m looking at Facebook and I see people’s vacation photos, or hear them complaining about the fact they have to deal with airport security for something work-related, and I can’t help but wish I was them for a moment, because I really truly do love airplanes and hotels and those tiny little bottles of lotion they give you in the bathroom.

     So when I’m thinking………

“Everyone gets to travel to such amazing places but me.  I’ve taken my last two vacations to Route 1 New Jersey” (that’s a fact, btw)

I’m going to stop myself and say

“……….but the reason I don’t travel is because I owned my own business before I was 30, was crazy enough to do something most people only dream of, and get to do something that I love uncontrollably every day for the rest of my life”

When I say

“That house on Bard Avenue is so beautiful.  I hate my apartment so much- I wish I could afford a house where my kids could have room to run around and I could have a private space all my own”

I’m going to say

“…..and you will have it one day, you just need to keep working really hard so when it’s yours, you’ll love it more because you earned it”.

When I say

“XYZ’s kids get to go to nursery school, are in sports, and are going to Disney World this year.  I wish I could give my kids everything, or at least a more normal life than having two parents who run a small business, work all the time, and don’t have things everyone takes for granted like a steady paycheck or sick days”

I’m going to say

“…….but no matter what you do, you’ll never be able to give your kids everything, because NOTHING is enough to show them how much you love them.  What you HAVE given them is a family who loves and supports them, and they are turning out to be such wonderful, amazing little guys.  You are lucky to have so much love in your life, because that’s the only thing that really matters, and you know that.  So stop acting like such a freaking pansy all the time and grow some goddamn balls already.  Jesus, once you had kids you cry at freaking Kleenex commercials.  They’re TISSUES, Al.  Damnit, we used to be so cool.”

God, or whatever you want to call it, doesn’t give a crap if I go 40 days without eating a KitKat.  But I’m pretty sure he’d be pretty stoked if I came out of Lent a better person than I was going in.

So lets do this!!! FORTY DAYS TO MORE AWESOME. I’m not getting older- I’m getting better and better every effing second of my life.

Speaking of more awesome, how about our brand spanking new flavor, CINNAMON BUN!!!!  (How is THAT for a segway!!!).  We’re really happy about how this one turned out- the bottom of the cake part is all ooey and gooey, just like a real cinnamon bun.  It’ll be in stores through the weekend, so make sure you seek it out before it goes back in the vault til at least next month!!!!

THE BLUTH: Chocolate banana cake, chocolate buttercream, roasted walnuts, chocolate ganache
