BIG DAY THIS WEDNESDAY!

We’re going to be at The World’s Largest Bakesale at Grand Central Station with Sandra Lee! And YES I had to use the picture where she’s dressed up like Cher!

This event benefits Share Our Strength’s “No Kid Hungry” campaign, and all money made that day will go directly to helping eradicating childhood hunger in America. Not just profits — every single cent we make.  And we’re bringing well over 1,000 pieces, so we’re hoping you’ll come down for the day and help us do some serious damage.

And it’s not just us! You’ll be able to buy stuff from over thirty awesome bakeries and restaurants, including places like Del Posto, Jean Georges, Gramercy Tavern and more.  You are going to eat better than you ever have in your entire freaking life, you’ll be helping feed needy kids, AND if we all sell out, we’ll have officially set a world record for the largest bakesale in history. Don’t you want to be a part of that?

If all that do-gooding and dessert eating wasn’t enough for you, there’s some awesome people co-chairing this event: aside from Ms. Lee, there’s Martha Stewart, Mario Batali, Emerill Lagasse, and WENDY FREAKING WILLIAMS.

She doesn’t need to be dressing up like Cher - Wendy Freaking Williams really is just that damn faboosh. That wasn’t even a real word, but that’s the type of woman she is. You need to make up a whole separate book of brand spanking new adjectives for Wendy Freaking Williams. Things like “Batankah” and “Schmoovious”. Lowly, simple, common English words would never be able to do the enormity of this woman justice.  I don’t know if she’ll personally be there, but if I encounter Wendy Freaking Williams, I may pass out because my body cannot handle the amount of awesome she radiates.

Now to the menu.  We’ll be bringing:

-Limited Edition Mint Julep Pound cake (made with lots of real Kentucky bourbon — great to have on hand for some Derby watchin’ this weekend)

-Our Famous Carrot Cake

-Mini Brownies Sampler: featuring our Classic Sea Salt and Fany (cajeta cinnamon) varieties

-Ultimate Nutella Whoopie Pie: Valrhona chocolate shells filled with Nutella buttercream and crunchy hazelnut praline

You’ll have to head to Grand Central Station on Wednesday beginning at 10am to get your hands on that particular stuff, but you can head to some of our retail partners right now and pick up brownies, whoopie pies, cakes, and these cupcakes we made last night. They are also pretty damn faboosh if I do say so myself.

Ebinger: Chocolate cake, chocolate custard buttercream, chocolate fudge, chocolate cake crumbs

Dom DeLuise: Pistachio cake, cannoli cream buttercream, roasted pistachios, candied citron, chocolate chips

Liddabit: Chocolate cake, salted caramel nougat buttercream, roasted peanuts, ganache & caramel drizzle

Funky Monkey: Banana chocolate chip cake, peanut butter buttercream, banana chip, ganache

We’ve got cupcakes heading to stores today (of course), but we’ve got some BRAND SPANKING NEW BAKED GOODS in our online shop right this very second! Well, they’re not exactly NEW per se, but you haven’t seen them since last March, so there’s a good chance you forgot they existed. So “brand spanking new to you baked goods” then!

First up is……

image

PASSOVER SEA SALT BROWNIES!  We made these last year to sell at our now-bulldozed shop at DeKalb Market (RIP 2011-2012), and the entire lot which was meant for a few days sold out in two hours. They are that delicious.

Our Passover brownies are made without flour or leavening, using all Kosher ingredients and Made-In-NYC Streit’s Matzoh Meal. Since we’re not in a certified kashrut facility nor are we under Rabbinical supervision, these brownies are unfortunately not kosher. However if you don’t keep a kosher household, they’re as kosher as anything you’d make yourself. Matt and I also have professional experience working in kashrut kitchens, meaning we inspect our eggs, bake in disposable certified pans, etc.

You can order them through our online store, and we’re going to be sending them to retail shops that want them! (And if you happen to be a retail shop we’re not working with but YOU want them, check out our wholesale page)

MATT’S FAMOUS IRISH SODA BREAD! And no, your eyes are not deceiving you- those are raisins in there. We all know by now how much I despise raisins with every fiber of my being and think they should fed only to prisoners and very bad children, but they’re kinda traditional in this instance and we can’t fight the man. But we can fight against raisins’ suckitude by using the golden variety (which for some reason I don’t think are evil- if you’ve read this blog for any period of time you know that logic isn’t my strong suit). And to fix them further, we rehydrate the raisins so they’re more like their former selves as grapes. We also decided that reconstituting them in water would be boring, so instead we use Drambuie, aka “Scotch whiskey blended with honey”. BOOM! CHECK OUT THOSE SKILLS, RAISINS!

If you want these shipped in time for St. Patrick’s Day, you’ll need to order them by 8am Tuesday morning. They’ll also be turning up at select locations, like Queen City Cupcakes in Patchogue and ALC in Bay Ridge. They’re wonderful sliced up and stored in the freezer, then toasted for a quick breakfast or accompaniment to a cuppa tea, or you can just eat an entire loaf whole to help stave off alcohol poisoning. After all, that’s what carbs are for.

And finally- today’s cupcakes! You’ve got to venture out of the house to grab these, because we don’t ship them. But I just checked the Weather Channel and there’s no sort of snow/rain/fog/pollenpocolypse scheduled for today, so you should all be safe.

Super Bowl’s over. Now to get talkin’ bout sweet, sweet love.

AWWWWW!!!! Yes, that IS two red pandas kissing. I went to the Prospect Park Zoo with the kids yesterday, and though normally when I get to the zoo these guys are always passed out in a tree somewhere, the cold weather totally brings the cuteness! These are the animals that have finally gotten me through my heartbreaking conundrum of “Oh God I want a koala so bad it hurts”/”Oh God why do koalas have to be rife with chlamydia”/”Will my husband be cool with me getting chlamydia? I mean, you just need to take antibiotics or something for a few weeks, right?”/”Will Matt believe I got the chlamydia from a koala?”.  I’m on the red panda train now, baby. You koalas can take your STDs elsewhere.

Anyway, on a side note you should go to the Prospect Park Zoo and get your heart melted by the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen, and that INCLUDES crap on the internet. Now we’ll get back to talking about sweet love and our business.

Ok, just one more.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!

NOW to sweet love- namely, Valentine’s Day.

Valentine’s Day ordering is officially open! As we did last year, we’re offering 12 cupcakes wrapped in a sexy bow with a handwritten card and delivered to your loved one’s doorstep for only FIFTY DOLLARS. You find me a dozen flowers for that price- and not only that, you can’t even eat flowers! (trust me) The only one eating flowers is the cat, and then they throw them up all over the apartment! Valentine’s Day= RUINED. Cupcakes, however, can be savored together while snuggling on the couch and listening to Miles Davis, or used in something Cosmo suggests that sounds fun but is likely awkward in real life (and I beg of you- if you try it, please don’t send us pictures. Again. That part isn’t a joke)

If you don’t live in NYC, you can still get a special Valentine’s gift for the person in your life- we’re offering our limited edition Chambord Brownies in our online store! Velvety melted bittersweet chocolate and creamery butter mixed with Chambord liqueur, swirled with raspberry jam. I’ve yet to see someone try our brownies and not declare that they were the best ones they’ve ever tried- and I’ll guarantee whomever you buy them for will be all over you once they try them. Unless it’s your grandma or something, because that’s just gross.

Note that mail orders need to be placed no later than Saturday, February 9th. All packages are going out 2-day shipping on Monday morning. Cupcake delivery orders can get placed til Monday the 11th, or until we end up completely booked as we unfortunately can’t make personalized deliveries to every person in NYC (we did book up last year, so get in early!).

And lest we forget, we are doing a one night only Valentine’s Day pop-up dessert bar at The Owl’s Head in Bay Ridge, and it’s already almost 100% booked. Don’t want to be pushy, but it’s a small place and I don’t want anyone who really wanted to go to be disappointed that they couldn’t get a table. Valentine’s Day is about love and eating fatty food and getting hammered, and no one is going to do that better than us this year. NO ONE.

Now here’s today’s flavors! No picture today, so enjoy another one of these:

AWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Liddabit: Chocolate cake, salted caramel nougat buttercream, roasted peanuts, caramel and ganache drizzles

Banana Cream Pie: Banana cake, vanilla custard, custard buttercream, banana chip, graham cracker crumbs

PB&J: Vanilla cake, grape jelly, peanut butter buttercream, roasted peanuts

S’Mores: Chocolate cake, toasted marshmallow buttercream, speculoos pudding, ganache, graham cracker crumbs

Yesterday I found out I’m going to be an auntie, the NHL is coming back, AND I got to go to the Big Apple Circus- it was the most AMAZING day of my year so far! Totally better than Saturday when I sat in my pajamas and worked on the book all day. Or Friday when I did pretty much the same damn thing, but with chips and dip.

You have absolutely NO IDEA how happy I was here, and not just because I had 2 bags of cotton candy. You also cannot possibly understand how amazing this circus was. Go. Go now. It closes on Saturday, and you don’t even need kids to have an excuse to go. Hell- I really think it’s far better as an adult. My kids are looking at these guys spinning through the air without a net and saying “That’s AWESOME! I could TOTALLY do that!”. Matt and I are looking at these guys and going “SWEET JESUS! THE HUMAN BODY SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO DO THAT!”

Seriously- watch this video. Go to the 1:40 mark.

How do you even figure out your body can do that?!?!?!

We are extremely proud to be able to support the circus through our company- not just because it was one of the most incredible experiences of my entire life (there may have been a lot of crying), but also because the Big Apple Circus is a non-profit organization (who knew?). The circus itself supports all their other work, such as performing in pediatric hospitals and nursing homes, teaching performance skills to at-risk youth both in American inner cities as well as in third world countries, free specially-designed shows for children with vision and hearing impairments, free shows for disabled children, and more.

For all those worried about their animals- you should know the circus treats their animals extremely well, and all their dogs are rescues. This isn’t just from a press release- they took me back to stables to see for myself, and they were the cleanest, most odorless stables I’ve ever seen. And I got to pet and kiss all the horseys and tell them how much I loved them! And then I started hysterically crying in front of all the performers and I’m pretty sure they were laughing at me. They’re just jaded because they get to pet horseys all the time and don’t realize how magical they are.

And they freaking curtsy!!!

If you decide to give a charitable donation to the Big Apple Circus this year to help support all their incredible work, you will get some amazing perks like interactions with the other non-horsey performers, gala receptions, invitations to rehearsals, AND it’s tax deductible. It’s like getting one of the most incredible moments of your entire life for almost-free.

Now go make yourself super giddy and eat some cupcakes! They always make you happy, don’t they? And really- try to get to the circus this week. They’re also coming back around to NJ in a couple of months, so you’ll get a second chance if you’re just too dang popular this week.

Liddabit: Chocolate cake, salted caramel nougat buttercream, roasted peanuts, ganache and caramel drizzles

Southern Belle: Banana bourbon cake, vanilla buttercream, brown butter bourbon glazed pecans

PB& Raspberry J: Vanilla cake, raspberry jelly, peanut butter buttercream, roasted peanuts

Bailey’s Cheesecake: Chocolate Bailey’s cake, Bailey’s cheesecake buttercream, cake crumbs

Today is the first day of Robicelli’s at Internet Week, meaning that “Allison Getting No Sleep Week” is officially underway! We also have our normal wholesale orders, the shop at DeKalb Market, whoopie pies for Madison Square Eats via Red Hook Lobster Pound, Rooftop Films, Techmunch AND Roller Disco this week.  All part of the territory as a small business owners, but this week is just a tad more crowded than most.

Fortunately, looking at your calendar and getting a stabbing pain in your eyeball is nothing that the internet can’t cure! (or properly diagnose- according to WebMD I either am stressed, or I have a bleeding brain tumor. Either or.)

Yesterday was the third Mother’s Day in a row that I wasn’t with my kids because I was working, and to put it mildly, I was devestated. And then it was like an angel came down from the heavens and squeezed it’s etheral little body into my laptop because THIS appeared in my Facebook feed, which I can only describe as the single greatest thing I have ever seen on the Internet (this week at least):

How great was that?!?!?!? SERIOUSLY, how great was that!!!!

I at once reposted, mentioning that it made my day. And for the second time that day, Internet Jesus decided to get involved. Robicelli’s superfan Tom Sullivan, who not only has been shopping at our store regularly for a while but also makes me smile a mile wide whenever I see him, happened to see my post. AND Mr. Tom Sullivan happens to have in his possession THE ENTIRE MR. T VIDEO. Sixty glorious minutes of Mr. T cavorting in camo booty shorts and tube socks, “rapping” about things like remembering to drink your milk, and throwing down some truth about growing up on the wrong side of the tracks and climbing your way out of the hood!

So what does the lovely Mr. Sullivan do? He puts it on a thumb drive, takes the train aaaallllll the way to DeKalb Market, grabs my laptop and puts it on for me to watch whenever I get stressed out.

But wait, there’s more! Not two days before that, I get an email from a woman named Danielle who writes:

I’ve been debating on sending you an e-mail for what seems like more than a year now.  I’ve been trying to think of a way to word it, so that I don’t sound like some creepy stranger.  Besides, I am not sure there is a way to send a fan e-mail without coming across as a creepy stranger.  I just wanted to say that I just love your cupcakes, your blog and your twitter account…....I just love what Robicelli’s stands for and what you do……..In summary, I just wanted to say thank you for making the best cupcakes in the world!  Please keep doing what you’re doing!”

!!!

How sweet is that!

Really guys, I just need to thank you all. Because when I have crazy weeks like the one that’s coming up, and I wonder why we do it, you remind me- because we’re making tons of people happy, and those people happen to be the greatest people in the world. You make us smile every single day, whether or not you bring us semi-educational videos with D-list celebrities from the 80s. Though that ALWAYS helps.

We’re lucky that we don’t just have customers- we have fans. And our fans become our friends, and some have even become our family. I hope we get to keep making you guys happy for the rest of our lives.

Now go get a tissue, wipe your eyes, then go out and make sweet love to one of these puppies and you’ll feel extra warm and cuddly inside.

***Note: I mean “make love” in the metaphorical sense- not the literal sense. Just needed to clarify so I don’t get sued if there’s some sort of mishap***

Yesterday was one of those days where I figured I’d go into DeKalb, spend some of the day chatting pleasantly with some of our regular customers and some newbies strolling in, and then spending the rest of the day sitting down with my laptop and get some work done on the cookbook. But then “2 for $5 Tuesday” kicked. My. Ass.

You didn’t know about 2 for $5 Tuesday? If you followed us on Facebook or Twitter, you would have known. You’d also know about any other special deals we have, secret sales, or just keep up with general goings on at the shop.

And if you feel you just can’t wait til Tuesday to get a deal on cupcakes, today is the absolute, final day to purchase our InBundles deal- 6 cupcakes for half price. We are NOT signing up with another deal site in the forseeable future, you will NOT be able to purchase a comparable deal directly from us- this was sort of a “thank you” to everyone for being patient as DeKalb was closed for construction for three months (and just how sexy are those brand spanking new decks, huh? I wish you all could see the new drainage water pumping system- hoo boy it’s beautiful!).  The deal disappears at midnight, so get it now before it’s too late!

Now for some excellent cupcake news- The Aris is back from cupcake vacation! For some reason we decided to make this a seasonal spring cupcake- why, I don’t really remember. It’s insanely popular, only available once in a blue moon, and unbelievably delicious. If you guys like it enough, you may be able to convince me to keep it around all year round- go buy one and let me know what you’re thinking!

Clockwise from front: McFadden, Sixpoint Brownstone, Aris, Liddabit

It’s now finally, officially time for me to make my big announcement regarding our May schedule…..

We are the official dessert sponsor of Internet Week!

This is perfect, because I LOVE the internet! And I KNOW the internet loves us- and loves cupcakes, brownies, and more. LOTS more.

What is this more, you ask? I really really really really want to tell you, but I’m saving that for a blog post later this week.

Why? Possibly because this announcement is going to be so big that the presses will need to be stopped and all activities will come to a screeching halt once I drop it. OR is it because I have really no content this week and am trying to stretch this? Let’s say “little of column A, little of column B”.

Back to the point, from Monday May 14th through Thursday May 17th, we’ll have a teensy little shop set up in 82 Mercer Street selling baked goods and coffee provided by Birch Coffee. To close out Internet Week, we’ll be sponsoring Techmunch for the third year in a row.

Rest of May? We’re helping put together a metric crapton of events at DeKalb Market, including something so incredible for Mother’s Day that you’re going to start sobbing uncontrollably when I tell you. You’ll definitely be able to guess what it is by taking a peek at the newly posted May schedule. Why not go take a peek and fantasize about which ones you’re going to come buy with your InBundles deal (which is on sale until Wednesday, so buy ASAP!).

Clockwise from front: Liddabit, Speculoos, McFadden, Horchata

Liddabit:
Chocolate cake, salted caramel nougat buttercream, roasted peanuts, caramel & ganache drizzle

Speculoos: Brown sugar cake, speculoos buttercream, crushed Good Batch stroopwafel & candied ginger

McFadden: Victorian lemonade cake made with a splash of Pimm’s, lemon-ginger buttercream, candied lemon peel

Horchata: Horchata cake, pudding and buttercream, cinnamon sugar rice krispies

It’s a good news/bad news day.  Just going to get to it.

The bad news is that we’re cancelling some of our dates for our Park Here pop-up, meaning there’s no place to pick up individual Chicken n’Waffles/Buffalo/etc cupcakes during most of the playoff games, and you need to order them for delivery.  Reason? We just have a TON of back-end stuff to do.  Not stuff that would make an interesting Tumblr. The kind of stuff that makes me go dark on Twitter, get headaches, and stare at a computer screen until I’m compelled to cover myself in warpaint and sit in the middle of my living room floor butt naked while eating a tub of ice cream with my bare hands.  You’ve all been there (right?).

The good news? I’m hoping that there will be a ton of it once all this paperwork gets done.  Namely, ALL MY PAPERWORK WILL BE DONE.  But primarily, I have done almost no work whatsover on the forthcoming Robicelli’s Cookbook since right before the Union Square Holiday Market started, and that thing ain’t going to write itself (I checked- it hasn’t done a damn thing on it’s own in my absence. Lousy slacker book proposal).

Other good news? Valentine’s ordering is now open!

AWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For only fifty dollars, you can send your loved one 12 very special Robicelli’s cupcakes or brownies, tied up with a beautiful ribbon with a personalized handwritten card attached, and hand delivered right to their home or office.  We’ll even have the delivery guy wear a tie so he’s extra good looking (though not as good looking as you).

I know it seems like New Years was just yesterday & V-Day is more than a month away, and you’re already sort of freaking out that Duane Reade etc is already stocking their shelves with Valentine’s candy and shoving the entire thing down your throats.  Totally get it.  However, I had to put it up now because it’s one of our two busiest days of the year, mostly because for one day we drop our delivery minimum to only one dozen, and we can only make a limited amount of deliveries as we don’t yet have a cloning device or one of those gizmos from Clockstoppers that would allow us to move superquick through time and make more stops in the Robicellimobile.  Last year we opened ordering on 2/1 and got to capacity really quickly, so we wanted to give everyone a bit more time.  We care like that.

Next bit of good news- realized that Lunar New Year comes a tad early this year, so we’ve changed the cupcake schedule a bit for this month- Green Tea Mandarin AND Black Sesame will both be available on January 23rd! Keung hei fat choi NYC!

And final piece of good news- NEW CUPCAKE! Oatmeal cream pie! Go git!

Clockwise from front: Oatmeal Cream Pie, Liddabit, Banana Cream Pie, Car Bomb

NEW! Oatmeal Cream Pie: Brown sugar oat cake, vanilla buttercream, oat crisp

Liddabit: Chocolate cake, salted caramel nougat buttercream, roasted peanuts, caramel, ganache

Banana Cream Pie: Banana cake, vanilla pudding, vanilla custard buttercream, banana chip, graham cracker crumbs

Car Bomb: Chocolate Guinness stout cake, Jameson whiskey ganache, Bailey’s Irish Cream buttercream

Well, Halloween has come and gone.  But before I start bugging you all incessantly about placing your Thanksgiving orders as soon as possible, I need to be that parent who tells you about what happened to their kids on Halloween, because I’m still shaking my head over this one.

After school let out, we went to the Halloween party at the Museum of Natural History- totally awesome, probably the best thing ever.  But this isn’t about that.  Nor is it about the part where Atticus decided to do some “fancy walking” on Central Park West and charged smack into Lewis Black, who was actually so cheerful I didn’t even recognize him til Matt pointed out that our son had come within 3” of headbutting him square in the crotch.

This is about how after the party was over and we had taken the long subway ride home, we went to the Starbucks around the corner from our place, aka my office/second home.  As I order my drink, our little boys give the baristas their best “Trick or Treat” and hold out their bags, and both receive THIS:

An unsharpened number two pencil!  Not a special Starbucks branded one, not a green one- AN UNSHARPENED STAPLES BRAND PENCIL FROM A SACK OF PENCILS. And because we’re regulars, MY kids get hooked up with TWO pencils a piece. That Starbucks Rewards Gold Card Status paid off yet again!

I made a crack about how we should have gotten there earlier before they had to resort to giving out office supplies, and that’s when the baristas told me that the decision to give out pencils was from corporate.

Listen, I can understand not wanting to give out candy. But pencils? I thought for a minute maybe it’s just a way to dissuade kids from ever trying to trick-or-treat at a Starbucks again, but everyone knows that if you want to do that, you hand out raisins.  As bizarre as it was, I was highly amused, and happy that it made the toothbrushes and pretzels they got look AMAZING in comparison.

Now here’s where it gets hilarious.

We go home, take off our costumes, and the kids go straight for their trick or treat bags.  Is the first thing they take out the Oreos, or the chocolate? No- it’s the freaking pencils.  Toby starts trying to draw a picture with his, but nothing- it’s unsharpened.  He turns to me and asks for help, but there’s nothing I can do as we don’t own a pencil sharpener. I mean really, it’s 2011- who has a pencil sharpener lying around besides my parents?

So despite the fact that they went to a Halloween party, got to trick-or-treat in the dinosaur museum, got to see a show from the Big Apple Circus, got to ride the subway, got to almost hit Lewis Black in the nuts, got to share custard from Shake Shack, got a giant sack of candy AND had pretty much the best Halloween two kids could possibly have, my kids ended the night hysterically crying in disappointment because of those damn unsharpened pencils.

Fortunately the next morning, they brought back the Gingerbread Latte so all is temporarily forgiven.  Besides, it was better than getting a rock.

So…..just because our apartment flooded, we have to live with my parents, we’re opened a new store and Matt was rushed to the hospital with a severe kidney infection DOES NOT MEAN WE DON’T STILL BAKE THE CUPCAKES!!!!  BOOYAH!!!!

However, this does mean an extraordinarily short blog post today. It’s one of those weeks where the universe piles as much as it can onto your shoulders just to see if it can break you, and you have to push back in hopes that if you survive you end up with a big bag of gold or your own private unicorn or something.

I’m going to try and post a few more things today if I can carve out the time, but right now I’m going to sleep.  In the event the posts I want to write don’t happen, just know that Matt and I love all of you very, very, very much.  Thank you for being there for us this week.

With only four days left, we’ve finally hit the halfway mark of our IndieGoGo campaign! We have til the end of the week to raise another $4500 to help us open a new storefront at the DeKalb market and make our triumphant return to the world of retailing.  So if any of you have some rich friends with a crap-ton of money they don’t know what to do with, could you hook us up?

Thank you so much to everyone who’s contributed so far- every little bit, even only a few dollars, really helps. It’s sort of amazing knowing how many people believe in us and believe in the dream- I’ve been tearing up every time I find out that people have been contributing, and seeing all the supportive Tweets and Facebook messages.  It’s been a long road since we started this business three years ago, and there hasn’t been a single dull (or easy) moment about it.  We are insanely fortunate not only to have each other and an incredible support network of friends and family, but to have fans like all of you as well.  There’s not a second where we’re not grateful not just for our successes, but mostly for all the wonderful people that this business has brought into our lives. (Everyone together! “AWWWWWWWWWW”)

Since all this mushy stuff makes me feel gross, head on over to our Facebook page and help me discuss something super-awesome: MACGYVER.  Matt and I have been watching episodes on Netflix every night, and there’s just so much to discuss, like:

-What’s up with MacGyver’s hair?

-No, really, what’s up with that?

That’s really all I got….having a lot of trouble moving past it.  Last night we were watching an episode where he was fistfighting…..wait for it….BIGFOOT, and yet I still find his hair the most implausible part of the entire series.  I’m sure we can talk about him turning a bike and a paperclip into a blowtorch or something, too…..just as long as we’re off the mushy stuff and talking about cool things like explosions and hair extensions.

And if you’d rather not talk about MacGyver, how about just going out and having one of these awesome cupcakes instead?

Hope everyone had a great Mother’s Day weekend!  Now lets get straight to business…..

……we have only FIVE DAYS LEFT on our IndieGoGo Campaign, and we’re only 47% of the way towards our goal!  For those of you bad at the mathematics, that’s less than half!!!

I know I haven’t been pestering everyone on this like I know I should have- sending tweet after tweet, bombarding all your Facebook pages and writing 5,000 blog posts about it, because I really didn’t want to annoy the crap out of all you (that’s called love, guys).  Take, for example, our 4 year old son.  We took him to Chuck E Cheese ONCE, and now every day I have to hear “Mommy, can we go to Chuck E Cheese? You know what’s great? Chuck E Cheese. We should go to Chuck E Cheese.  Do you like Chuck E Cheese? Because we should go to Chuck E Cheese.  Can we go to Chuck E Cheese right now?” for 12 HOURS A DAY.  Now instead of taking him there, I want to burn that damn place down so I never, ever, ever have to hear about it again.

However, with only five days left, we’re going to be getting very “Can you help our IndieGoGo? We really need the help on IndieGoGo. We worked so hard since we closed our old store to rebuild, and we really really really want this, so can you help with our IndieGoGo? Pleeeeeaaaasssseee?”.  And seriously, how pathetic is that?!?!?!  You’re annoyed, and I feel gross and bad about myself.  No one is winning here, folks.  So please, help us reach our goal so I can stop groveling and we can move on to a new era with a gorgeous storefront, where the the Chicken n’Waffles cupcakes will flow like wine and beautiful women will flock like the Salmon of Capastrano.

In the meantime, go pick up some of these delicious flavors, and hopefully they’ll convince you to throw us a few bucks.  And not because they’re filled with mind-controlling drugs….yeah……that’s it…….
