This is my dad. Actually, this is a card my dad made for my son for his 5th birthday, which is also for some reason the only picture I have of him on my computer. So there’s that.
My dad also happens to be my hero. He’s the guy who showed me that it’s never too late to change the person you are, to always become something better. To never give in to peoples expectations of you, and to become who YOU want to be. To always keep thinking outside of the norm, to follow your crazy ideas, to be brilliant no matter how nuts you might look, or how much people might tease you for it.
Aside from being a genius on a Doc Brown level, my dad is also the funniest human being I have ever met in my life, and is one of the only people who can make me laugh until it hurts. I hear more and more of him coming out of my mouth every day, which delights me to no end, because the world needs more people like him.
Happy Father’s Day, Daddy. You have no idea how much I love you.
