Flavors: Friday, November 22nd
Three days left until our opening. DEFINITELY NOT FREAKING OUT AT ALL.
I’m at the point where I’ve done so much painting and hammering and polite screwing that I can barely move my fingers to type tonight. I may love everything about my thirties a lot more than my twenties, but definitely not the fact that when I jam myself into a compromising position in a small commercial bathroom, I’m sore as crap for three days afterwards. (I’ve painted a lot of small bathrooms. That’s what you took away from that sentence — yes?)
New developments since I last posted: that whole “our custom counters better be ready….” joke I made seems to actually have come true. Also, the mixer we ordered turned out to be broken when we picked it up, so we’ve had to settle for a slightly smaller model for the time being. What this means is next week, we will have a total of four seats, and 2/3rds of the shop will more than likely be blocked off so we can focus on holiday production and construction. You’ll be able to come in, shop, and grab some coffee, but you won’t get a fuller Robicelli’s experience until our “Grand Opening” on December 1st. And by “Grand,” I mean I will probably buy a balloon, and maybe we’ll put out some free samples. Perhaps Matt and I will sing some duets while we’re working — anything can happen, really, now that you can watch us bake live.
Now obligatory shop photo: OUR NEW LIGHTS!
If that doesn’t get you guys hyped, I don’t know what will!
Don’t forget to place your Thanksgiving orders ASAP- you’ll be able to pick up from the shop next week, but if you want delivery, we need to hear from you early! If you have ordered from us, confirmations will be sent out tonight after I come home from setting up our new tables and wash all this red paint out of my hair.
Now flavors. This is the first time we’ve ever made only two flavors for a delivery day, but please forgive us — it allowed us out of the kitchen quicker so we could get back to building. Big blog on Monday. See you guys soon!
